Inspired by Waldorf Principles, Every Aspect Of Our Time Together Helps Build Our Community

Our Parent-Child program provides parents a supportive environment to explore together the joys and challenges of raising young children in a positive manner.
The parents in The Magic Acorn Community come together weekly,
taking a respite from
today’s quick paced world, as their children play and learn.
During class we have a chance to discuss parenting issues, Waldorf Education, child development, adjustment to parenting, and other related topics.
We also take time to work on hand crafts such a knitting or crocheting, laugh, share ideas and support, see the joy on the faces of our children, and enjoy the restorative powers of tea and good company.
Special events outside of the classroom are also scheduled.
These have included learning to knit and aromatherapy in the past with many additional topics planned.
Parents benefit from the community as a source of support shared experiences, and knowledge. They also come away with creative ways to interact with and respond to their children.

"When we truly care for ourselves, it becomes possible to care far more profoundly about other
people. The more alert and sensitive we are to our own needs, the more loving and generous
we can be towards others." - Eda Leshan
